WHAT THE BIBLE SAY: ON HORRIFIC AND STRANGE EVENTS TODAY

"When will this happen?" the disciples asked him later, as he sat on the slopes of the Mount of Olives. "What events will signal your return and the end of the world?"Just so, when you see all these things beginning to happen, you can know that my return is near, even at the doors. When you hear of wars beginning, 

this does not signal my return; these must come, but the end is not yet. The nations and kingdoms of the earth will rise against each other, and there will be famines and earthquakes in many places. But all this will be only the beginning of the horrors to come.

"At that very moment there was a violent earthquake; a tenth of the city was destroyed, and seven thousand people were killed. The rest of the people were terrified and praised the greatness of the God of heaven. The second horror is over, but the third horror will come soon!"

"There will be strange things happening to the sun, the moon, and the stars. On earth whole countries will be in despair, afraid of the roar of the sea and the raging tides like a trap. For it will come upon all people everywhere on earth. When these things begin to happen, stand up and raise your heads, because your salvation is near."

"The great day of the LORD is near--very near and coming fast! That day will be bitter, for even the bravest soldiers will cry out in despair!On the day when the LORD shows his fury, not even all their silver and gold will save them. The whole earth will be destroyed by the fire of his anger. He will put an end--a sudden end--to everyone who lives on earth.
